Annie Moscow: Songs

Invisible

(Annie Moscow)
April 1, 2007
Annie Moscow
In a scruffy nightgown
I stumbled onto Main Street
Feeling so inconsequential
I could blend into the wood
Felt like no one could see me but they obviously could

Walked into a store and I
Fumbled through my purse
And the change fell all around me
Spinning circles on the wood - followed by
Tissue parts and candy hearts
The pieces of my life I felt like
No one could see me but they obviously could

I feel so invisible today
I feel so invisible
I feel so invisible today
So invisible

I know why the duck lady quacks
She walks down the street and goes quack quack quack
It’s ‘cause nobody can see her
She knows nobody can see her
On the city streets where the duck lady quacks
We laugh at her behind her back
As she falls into another crack

I feel so invisible today
So invisible
I feel so invisible today
I feel so invisible

I feel so invisible today
So invisible
I feel so invisible today
I feel so invisible
